Once you are in Device Manager, go to the View menu and choose Show Hidden Devices, which will show all the device drivers including things that aren’t currently installed in your computer. Then type in devmgmt.msc to start up Device Manager from the administrator command prompt: (You can also right-click on the command prompt and choose Run as Administrator)
If the driver is what’s causing problems, you can manually install a different driver for your device. To install the device, and the driver for it again, simply connect it and Windows 10 will detect it and install the driver again. Type cmd into the start menu search box, and then use Ctrl+Shift+Enter to open in administrator mode. Once the driver is uninstalled, the device will disappear from the Device Manager. In Windows 7 or Vista, the first thing you’ll need to do is open a command prompt in administrator mode. You’ll then see the old devices in the list, and can uninstall the drivers for them. What you have to do is set a less-known flag to allow you to see non-present devices, and then launch device manager. Click in the dialogue.If you are experiencing weird issues after upgrading your hardware, or you’ve just upgraded to the latest hardware device and aren’t seeing the performance you’d like, you might want to remove the old drivers which are still installed for the old hardware, even though you can’t normally see them in device manager.・ If removal is rejected, restart the computer and perform steps 4 to 10 again. Restart the computer and Windows will automatically reinstall the device driver. Once completed, the adapter will no longer appear in the list. Select Uninstall to complete the uninstall. When the dialogue appears, click then. On the uninstall device window, do not check the box for Delete the driver software for this device.If a message appears asking if you want to remove just the printer driver or remove the printer driver and package from the system, select and click.Select the printer driver to remove, and then click.Select an icon from, and then click from the top bar.・ If a message indicating that the device is in use appears, restart the computer and perform steps 1 and 2 again. When the confirmation message appears, click.
To remove a specific printer driver from multiple printer drivers, select the printer driver you wish to remove from.
